We knew that Scotland was emerging from the recession that began in 2008, we knew that employment in Scotland was at its highest since before the recession, and we knew that it had continued to increase steadily since 2010.
We will consider the responses to a number of questions that we raised at our last meeting before the summer recess. We must report to the lead committee at the end of this week, in time for its consideration of the bill with the minister in charge next week.
Decision on Taking Business in Private Good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to the Rural Affairs and Environment Committee's first meeting after the summer recess. This is the committee's 19th meeting this year.
We therefore plan to finalise the current plan update before the recess. We will then look for opportunities to integrate additional policies into our overall package in due course.
