While discussions have been held between Scottish Environment Protection Agency officers and Fife Council regarding the recent flood incidents in Dura Den, to date the Scottish Government has had no specific discussion with Fife Council regarding the ownership and maintenance of weirs and sluice gates to help prevent future flooding.
