In any event, one would expect the outstanding debt to be cleared on the death of the owner— Just to cut to the chase, I simply wanted to find out whether the charge could be started at a distant date or whether it had to start at once.
The approach does not exist as a consequence of a policy maker’s initiative, but you may want to take an interest in its development. Why has the policy failed to date? Are we targeting the wrong people?
I thank Ian Duncan, because the bulletin helps us to keep up to date. It is a nice, potted version of what is going on but, if we need to get more information, we know where to go for it.
It is not a question of delay but a question of putting in support at an early date as intensively as possible.I entirely accept that the process is not open-ended.
I have raised the issue with the Commission’s competition directorate and have asked it to investigate the matter. To date, however, we do not know whether that is going to happen.
