The Scottish Government’s intention is that the adoption agency that decides that the person is no longer suitable to be an adoptive parent—which might not be the same as the agency that approved suitability—must implement the requirements of regulation 5(6).

We need to do so in preparation for the transfer of licensing powers, whenever that occurs. I am not sure that the precise date of transfer has yet been settled by the Westminster Parliament, but I hope that it will be settled soon.
