Perhaps we will take a simple approach and say that everyone who is an EU or EEA national who is here on a particular date will enjoy the rights of free movement, irrespective of how long they have been here.
I look forward to the questions. 09:15 Thank you very much. The EEA agreement in Norway dates from 1994. As Dr Sverdrup said, it gives you full access to the single market as opposed to partial access.
There were some recommendations for change from that report but, in the main, it suggested that the planning policy and the guidance were up to date and robust and it did not show up any huge area of concern.
We will review that again in two weeks—before the Easter recess—and our expectation now is that that regulation will convert to guidance in early April.
It is also about thinking how we can do things better, which will mean doing them differently. Before the recess, I outlined in the chamber how we might do that.
The United Kingdom Government’s immigration policy disregards sectors that are relied upon during the pandemic, including our valued social care workers. To date, the UK Government has refused to engage with the Scottish Government on those crucial issues.
