As Fulton MacGregor said, only 19 per cent of parents know about the legal right to defer the school start date of children who were born between September and December, but 80 per cent know that the school start date of children who were born in January and February can be deferred.
In his earlier remarks, the cabinet secretary alluded to 12,586 BRNs having been processed as at today’s date, so I assume that the position has changed between 29 May and today’s date.
That is evident in what has happened in the recession. At UK level, there has been a massive reduction in emissions as a result of the recession, but we expect emissions to pick up again after the recession.
