Scottish Parliament (Recall and Removal of Members) Bill - The offence of double signing a recall petition

The effect of an electoral-restrictions order is to: prevent an individual from standing for elected office in Scotland for a period of three years from the date of conviction prevent an individual from holding office as an MSP or local councillor for three years (i.e. the same period of time as a person is prevented from standing for election) trigger suspension, with immediate effect, and require resignation where a person is an MSP or local councillor at the time of conviction ban, for a period of 3 years beginning with the date of conviction, a person from voting in Parliament elections and local government elections in Scotland.
