As we say in the submission, a full four years after the start of the recession the output in the economy is 3 to 4 per cent below pre-recession levels and some 12 per cent below the 2007 trend.
Will the cabinet secretary explore with me, perhaps at a later date, the issue of travel, recovery and rehabilitation for women from the west of Scotland who have to travel to Edinburgh?
On 19 December, following the general election, I wrote to Alister Jack, the returning Secretary of State for Scotland, urging him to agree to sign the deal on 22 January, which is the date that is being held by regional partners for signing the deal.
There is no reason why that action cannot be progressed at an early date, and we continue to get daily updates from ARL to ensure that it is taking action to progress the matter.
As I have said before, the funding council has been fully involved to date and I expect that support to continue as the project develops to ensure that it is realised.

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the pledge in the 2016 SNP manifesto, for what reason it has extended the target date for 100% roll-out of superfast broadband to 2021.
