In your letter of 19 January, you indicate that the Scottish Government officials had been in regular contact with the Scottish Civil Justice Council secretariat since autumn 2019 and that officials remained in regular contact with them regarding an expected commencement date of autumn 2021.

It also calls on the Scottish Government to:
publish as soon as possible, and prior to them coming into force, any relevant consolidated regulations;
clearly signpost to the public where the most up-to-date and consolidated regulations dealing with the pandemic might be read.
We will lay Regulations tomorrow asking Parliament to approve the August 2023 date and to make some small changes to the existing legislation to provide additional clarity or help de-risk implementation.
