The electronic patient record is reasonable in primary care in Scotland, although our systems are quite out of date—they need to be updated. In secondary care and in hospitals, there is no electronic patient record.
That research is probably somewhat out of date now and there is an argument for revisiting the issue, given that things have moved on and that the country has had to face a few major crises.
