The Coronavirus (Scotland) Acts (Amendment of Expiry Dates) Regulations 2022 [draft] were laid on 23 February 2022.
The Coronavirus Act 2020 (Alteration of Expiry Date) (Scotland) Regulations 2022 (SSI 2022/40) is made under section 90(2) of the Coronavirus Act 2020.
The memorandum also explains that it is likely that the future baseline date “will need to be changed to 2020” to reflect the move towards a target date in 2030, and it indicates that the Scottish Government’s intention is that the regulation-making power would be exercised only once.
Once the report and research findings have been finalised a publication date can be determined, however it is anticipated that this will be before the summer recess 2009.
