Hill tracks are also immensely useful for transporting people to the myriad hill lochs in Scotland for brown trout fishing. Indeed, that underused facility could be used far more.Given that the purpose of many of the bulldozed tracks relates to telecommunications and windfarms, they are already covered by the planning system.

Disability should be no barrier to that.The other aspect of the portfolio for which I am spokesperson is housing and communities. I note with interest Gordon Brown's recent proposals that new homes should be made considerably more wheelchair friendly.
