We plan to commence section 34 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2019 (Provision of bus services etc. by local transport authorities) before the summer recess and lay the legislation necessary for commencement of section 39 (provision of service information when varying or cancelling a registration) before the end of this year.

Scottish Ministers plan to publish a Budget Revision at the end of May for consideration by the Scottish Parliament before summer recess. The Budget Revision will detail all funding allocations made to date in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Introduction
This report covers the work of the Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Affairs Committee during the parliamentary year from 12 May 2020 to 24 March 2021 (when the Parliament went into Election Recess prior to the Scottish Parliament election on 6 May 2021).
These include reducing the waiting time for initial payment from five weeks to, at most, two weeks from the date of application being made, providing more support to those who need it with making and managing claims and aligning dates with paydays.
For the Scottish Government to have said that it expected to produce a report before the summer recess last year but to then say that it has taken a bit of time to drive some consensus as we head into the summer recess of 2025 does not inspire one to the view that there is any pressing urgency being given to producin...
The Scottish Government also acknowledged in its response that regulation 5(1) should refer to the “relevant date” rather than refer to “that date” in order to attract the definition of “relevant date” in regulation 5(2).
Doing so will support future economic and societal recovery, will ensure consistency of approach across the planning system and thus certainty for developers and the public, and will maintain the ability of the Energy Consents Unit to continue to process applications efficiently.
