It is wrong for members of the Parliament to talk down the economy and to run it down, in the chamber or anywhere else.Predictions were made by the nationalists, week after week and month after month, that Scotland would be in recession by the end of last year. We were not; those predictions were wrong.

I have had two meetings with Nicol Stephen, the Minister for Transport, to discuss the matter. To date, our discussions have been on patients and visitors travelling to nursing facilities, but the member adds the dimension of staff travel to work.
