It will come into force in Britain at the same time as in the other member states, in the same schedule. I believe that the date is in 2006. I can check the details—I have the document with me—but, from memory, it will be in 2006.
It would be helpful if we could reflect on that. The date is in the week before enlargement and if we had a slot on that date, there might be an opportunity to debate enlargement.
I appreciate that we could count papers with an electronic system, but there is even talk of internet voting or voting by mobile phone. The other benefit of what is a dated system is that we are able to challenge the count.
