Emergencies will occur, of course, during recesses and we certainly would not want to get ourselves into the position of having to recall Parliament during recess because of such an emergency.
We are currently revising our plan of action for alcohol, which will commit us to a range of actions and to ensuring that we have the best, most up-to-date information and access to the best, most up-to-date research.
Although there is no plenary business for the week that begins on 20 May, I emphasise that that week is not a recess week. It is important to make that point in view of recent media coverage.
We will have a short break from such matters to allow members to recharge their batteries, but we will welcome members back from the summer recess with the draft budget to kick off the 2006-07 budget process.
I hope that the minister will come back to Parliament before the recess, as he promised to do, to let us know what is happening to implement a scheme that the SNP, of course, warmly welcomes.
