On Thursday 11 November, the first item of business will be a ministerial statement and debate on year 2000 and millennium date change issues. Before lunch, a further business motion will be moved.
I make that recommendation because it is the least that those who made the supreme sacrifice would have expected. That came home to me during the recess when I visited the Commonwealth war cemetery at El Alamein in Egypt.

I understand that we are to see an end to the practice at Polmont, provided that new house blocks are built there in the next 18 months. No date has been set for Glenochil YOI, but we may see the end of the use of porta potties there in the next couple of years.
