I now bring the meeting to a close. Because of the recess, our next meeting will be on 21 April, when we expect to hear oral evidence on the impact of welfare reform and children’s services.
There will be a meeting in Scotland, which many countries from across Europe will attend, before the end of the summer recess—I cannot quite summon to mind the exact date.
The most recent data that are available show that our approach is paying dividends. Scotland’s recession was shallower than the UK’s and we exited recession a full three months before the rest of the UK.
We have what we call a true partnership arrangement in the Scottish Court Service, which keeps us up to date with anything that is planned for the future.
Graeme Pearson’s question invited an indication of a more precise date in the autumn, as we discussed in the stage 1 debate, but the cabinet secretary has not given much reassurance about the timetable.
The figures in our annual report go only up to April, so we could provide you in writing with figures that are more up to date. It is not so much about up-to-date figures.
