The Commission may charge a reasonable fee for considering the application. 2 The applicant must supply such further information that the Commission reasonably requires. 3 The Commission may either— 15 (a) grant the consent on such terms (if any) as it thinks fit, or (b) refuse consent. 4 If the Commission has not made a decision on the application within three months from the date on which an application is made, or (if later), the date on which the applicant supplied information requested under paragraph 2, the Commission is to be deemed to 20 have granted consent.

UKSI Import of Animals and Animal Products and Approved Countries EU Exit Amend

The powers to administratively 999/2001 of the European of animal origin change the following matters (with consent) were conferred on the Secretary of State Parliament and of the by S.S.I. 2019/588: Council laying down rules for the prevention, control and • the BSE classification of a country or region, eradication of certain • the date from which the BSE classification for the country or region is to apply. transmissible spongiform encephalopathies The powers are being amended to allow the Secretary of State (with consent) to decide these matters where there is no existing classification or date from which a classification is to apply.

Bill as Amended Stage 2 UK Withdrawal from the EU Continuity Scotland Bill 2020

Initial members: transitional provision 10 13 (1) This paragraph applies if— (a) before the commencement date, a body known as Environmental Standards Scotland is established (the “non-statutory Environmental Standards body”) in pursuance of a resolution of the Scottish Parliament— (i) endorsing the establishment of the body by that name, and 15 (ii) approving the appointment of persons nominated to be its chairing and other members, and (b) the body is still in existence immediately before the commencement date. (2) The person who was, immediately before the commencement date, the chairing member of the non-statutory Environmental Standards body is, on that date, taken to have been 20 appointed under paragraph 2(1)(a) as the member to chair Environmental Standards Scotland. (3) Any person who was, immediately before the commencement date, a member (other than the chairing member) of the non-statutory Environmental Standards body is, on that date, taken to have been appointed under paragraph 2(1)(b) as a member of 25 Environmental Standards Scotland. (4) A person to whom sub-paragraph (2) or (3) applies is referred to in this paragraph as an “initial member”. (5) An initial member’s period of appointment as a member— (a) is to continue to be the same as that for which the member had been appointed as 30 a member of the non-statutory Environmental Standards body, and (b) accordingly expires at the time at which the period of appointment as a member of the non-statutory Environmental Standards body would have expired. (6) Except as may be agreed between the Scottish Ministers and an initial member, the other terms of the member’s appointment are to continue to be the same as the terms on which 35 the member had been appointed as a member of the non-statutory Environmental Standards body so far as consistent with this Act.
