The earliest that we can possibly get the results of the review before Parliament will be after recess. That is how long it will take to do that engagement, including with my parliamentary colleagues.
So, I would very much appreciate an update when there is—I hope—good news to be shared with us. Over the recess, I hosted a round-table meeting on the impact of the cost of living crisis on the arts and culture sector.
My party will publish our proposals for a right to recovery bill before Parliament rises for recess next week. Will the First Minister agree with me, with addiction campaigners such as FAVOR, and with people on the front line, and back our bill to give everyone a legal right to recovery?
Work to resolve that issue will be disruptive, but the plan is to take it forward during the summer recess. That will lead to a reduction in the need to operate in manual mode and will restore the integrity of the system.
