Do you have any thoughts on how to keep standing legislation up to date with best practice? That is difficult, because it often requires legislative time.
The last entry in column 3 of the schedule to the order purports to commence section 44 of the act on that supposed date. The date that should have appeared in those provisions is 30 September 2018.
Some of those dates are outwith the control of both the Scottish Government and local government, because it comes down to the data points that we need to work with.
