One of the things that I found particularly impressive was that the marshalling and refereeing was carried out by senior pupils from the high schools to which the primary 7 kids would move on after the summer holidays. As well as the more apparent and necessary gains that would accrue for people such as Iain Smith from such links, there would be gains for people from Fife and for people closer to the airports in terms of their access to business trips and to holidays.
