At the weekend, I was up by Loch Tay and saw a mobile Royal Bank of Scotland van. There is much less service provision in rural areas than in urban areas, and retaining private limited companies with businesses in small properties in those areas will retain jobs and services.

It is projected that the job of decommissioning Hunterston A, which was the first major nuclear plant in Scotland, will take 90 years. To date, only £4 billion has been set aside from the sale of nuclear electricity to clear up the mess that Hunterston A left behind.
