It does several things: appoints 30 June 2022 as the end date for the transitional staging period in all cases; from 1 January 2022 it requires pre-notification of the import of animal by-products from 1 January 2022, which are not already subject to pre-notification requirements; exempts products of animal origin and other objects intended for personal consumption or use forming passengers’ personal luggage and not for sale on the market from prior notification requirements; and postpones the requirements for phytosanitary certificates for certain plants, plant products and other objects to 30 June 2022.
