To ask the Scottish Executive when it will publish its plans with regard to the diversification of the Banff and Buchan economy following its fishing decommissioning scheme. A partnership of ScottishEnterprise Grampian, Aberdeenshire Council and Communities Scotland has alreadyput in place the “Building Buchan New Beginnings” action plan.

It would be logical for certain people to move from Edinburgh to Aberdeen to be on hand to deal with fishing matters. However, I presume that Aberdeen will never be considered as the place to site a fisheries department.
