The Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency is responsible for enforcing fisheries legislation in Scotland and is using its full range of powers to enforce the closure of the Solway Firth to cockle fishing. The agency will seek to prosecute whoever is involved in illegal fishing, wherever they are from.
