The Scottish Government has also promoted the commitment within CFP reform to the achievement of fishing at levels which allow for maximum sustainable yield of fish stocks, a key determinant for the attainment of favourable conservation status.

Given this outcome we are seeking to convene a meeting, to include the main retailers in Scotland and the fishing industry, as soon as possible this autumn and hope to do so within the next month.

Further data layers described the distribution of spawning and nursery grounds for commercial fish species (including some PMF species), the distributions of cetaceans, areas designated for the protected of seals and cetaceans, and sea haul-outs.
