To ask the Scottish Executive what progress it has made on the development of a specification for an independent scientific review of any link between fin fish farming and shellfish poisoning syndrome events, whether any experts have been appointed to undertake the work, and, if so, what the estimated cost and completion date are of the review.

There was always a slight dilemma, for example, when someone was trying to do something with a river for fishing and someone wanted to extract water upstream.It is better that the way the system is set up separates the drinking water and the customer end from environmental management and resource management.

A rather uninteresting example—it is the best that I could come up with at this time of day—would be if Joe Bloggs was suspected of unlawful conduct and was using the proceeds of crime to purchase, let us say, a string of fish and chip shops—I told members the example was not interesting.
