Of this, 814,067 tonnes were allocated to Denmark and 17,794 tonnes were allocated to the UK.The Council further agreed that sandeel vessels should be restricted to a maximum of 23 days fishing per month within the regulated area and that the closure of the Wee Bankie sandeel fishery off the east coast of Scotland should be continued in 2003.
