I suggest that now is not the time to be introducing new designations. The community right to buy exists, and we have added the right to buy neglected and abandoned land, and land to further sustainable development.
SPPA’s combined resource and capital budget increased from £23.9 million in 2022/23 to £27.5 million in 2023/24, before rising to £33.4 million in 2025/26 and £38.1 million in 2026/27. This year’s increased settlement is in line with what the SPPA set out as being necessary to deliver on its obligations.
