Issues discussed in the session included:
the potential availability of "schemes of assistance" at council level to help cover the cost of installing new safety equipment in homes, and a perception that this was "patchy" across Scotland;

The MSYPs proposed extending the scheme to cover young people up to the age of 26, emphasising that all public transport should be accessible to YP, regardless of their location.
Similar guidance has also been issued to schools.The guidance states that where this minimises the number of adults visiting schools, children should be accompanied to transition visits by ELC staff rather than by parents.
Average rates for providers of the delivery of 600 hours increased by 26 per cent over the two years, and many local authorities are also paying a higher rate for those providers that are involved in the delivery of 1,140 hours.
Officials further confirmed that, going into 2025-26, IFRS 16 now forms part of the capital budget, so a standard type of Barnett arrangement is being moved to.
