Other new and altered motions and amendments *S6M-12125 Tess White: Celebrating 50 Years of Ninewells Hospital, Dundee—That the Parliament congratulates Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, in Dundee, on reaching its 50th year; notes that it welcomed its first patient to the new building on 31 January 1974; understands that it was the first new teaching hospital to be built in the UK since the 19th century; further understands that the hospital blazed a trail as the first to have a school of medicine integrated into the modern build; recognises that long-serving staff, along with one of the first patients to be treated in Ninewells, were treated to a celebration event on the hospital’s concourse to mark the 50th anniversary, and wishes Ninewells Hospital Board, staff and patients all the very best for the next 50 years.

Budget Scrutiny 2025-26 - Scotland’s Competitiveness
