They passed on that information on 26 August 2005. The delay appears to have been due in part to some uncertainty over the extent of their duty of confidentiality.
I would like the sector to be better equipped to deal with such issues as ship-to-ship transfer of oil, notably in the Forth, where there is a sensitive environmental habitat.
If that appeal succeeded, the applicant would be transferred back to prison. It was therefore in a very different category from the case of Noel Ruddle.
We feel strongly that the single transferable vote is easily the best system, because it gives the power to the voters and not to the organisations—which is why organisations are against it.
