Committee consideration
The UK Government states in its DPM that the power is required in order to allow the Scottish Ministers to respond to the latest scientific and economic advice regarding the food sector.
For example, the baseline report states there has been a reduction in business innovation activity over the latest period – with the share of businesses innovation-active decreasing from 50.4% in the 2012-14 period to 45.0% in the 2014-16 period.
The CEEAC Committee wrote to the Cabinet Secretary on 26 May noting that the revised statement of policy does not address some of the issues it raised with regards to transparency and Ministerial accountability.
That is our focus, and we will deliver it.Farming (New Entrants) Farming (New Entrants) To ask the Scottish Government what support it is providing to encourage new entrants into farming.
Access arrangements - update 2. Following the First Minister’s latest statement, the SPCB noted that Scotland was still in Phase 3 of the Scottish Government’s roadmap, with working from home, where possible, still the default position.
That delivered around 3,500 additional new out-patient appointments. The 2025-26 budget will provide an extra £200 million to help to reduce waiting times and improve capacity.
