We currently have an appointment process underway for the position of chair and are due to advertise for four board members. Therefore, five new board appointments will be made in 2025, including a new chair.
He is eligible to remain in office until December 2023 at the latest. The number of contributors to the Fund as at the date of introduction of the Bill was 561 and the youngest was 50 years old.
The Committee previously agreed a three-year pre-budget scrutiny plan to look at each principle of human rights budgeting in turn:
participation in year 1
transparency in year 2
accountability in year 3
For the 2025-26 period, the Committee focussed its work on Budget transparency.
Major projects
The submission includes funding for projects of £6.5 million, an increase of £0.2 million (3.4%) on 2025-26. Projects to be funded in 2026-27 include IT, broadcasting and facilities management projects.
