Supported by: Bill Kidd*, Tess White*, Stephanie Callaghan*, Miles Briggs*, Ruth Maguire*, Annabelle Ewing*, Jeremy Balfour*, Colin Beattie* *S6M-08645 Sandesh Gulhane: Three Scottish Hospitals Ranked Among Top in United Kingdom—That the Parliament congratulates three Scottish hospitals, two in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh, on being recognised as among the top hospitals in the UK; understands that American publication, Newsweek, and global data firm, Statista, assessed over 2,300 hospitals, across 28 countries, to create a World’s Best Hospital League Table for 2023 and ranked three Scottish hospitals among the top 40 hospitals in the UK; notes that Glasgow Royal Infirmary came in 26th place, the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh ranked 34th and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) ranked 38th in the UK; understands that rankings were based on factors including care standards, innovation, research and consistency, and commends all of the hardworking staff at the three hospitals for achieving this recognition.
