In that letter I confirmed that the Scottish Government would honour the commitment I made during my visit on 3 November 2021 to provide financial support to the Council.
More information about home visits, including what is being checked, can be found on the Super Sponsor Scheme and Homes for Ukraine guidance for local authorities website.
That might not be as easy to do with other arrangements, although I visited a residential home a few weeks ago, and people there spoke to me about how they had built relationships.
Regarding access to health care and services, we have had cases of huge barriers, including to travel, for people in the asylum process who need to visit a hospital. I think that there is some compensation available for people who visit a hospital; they can reclaim part of the fee from the NHS.
We can probably give some of the data about visits that they are undertaking, but I can absolutely confirm that those home visits are happening where they need to happen.
