S6M-04821: Clare Adamson: Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Awareness Month 2022 - That the Parliament marks Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Awareness Month, which is held every November; understands that CRPS is a chronic disorder, mostly affecting the limbs, which is characterised by severe pain, pathological changes of bones, joints and skin, swelling, temperature and colour changes and motor dysfunction; further understands that the condition and awareness of its impact is poorly understood both in Scotland and globally; notes that the first Monday of November marks Colour the World Orange Day, which encourages businesses, town halls and landmarks to change their lights to orange in support of people with CRPS; commends the volunteers and organisers at CRPS UK and Burning Nights CRPS Support for their efforts to raise awareness of the condition; further commends the work of CRPS UK and Burning Nights CRPS Support, which, it understands, are registered charities with the shared goals of raising CRPS-symptom awareness, providing what it sees as invaluable support to people with the condition, and advocating for more research development into its effects; notes that the Burning Nights CRPS Support eighth annual CRPS conference will be held on 26...
