It is clear that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection Of Employment) Regulations are insufficient to meet staff needs and that transfer practice should be comparable to the section 9 provisions of the Local Government etc (Scotland) Act 1994, which underpinned staff transfer during the 1996 reorganisation of local government.

While this is an operational matter for visitscotland.com, I understand that the full contact details of tourism businesses that have subscribed to visitscotland.com are included on its website.

Earlier today, I launched a new tourism and genealogy website- ancestralscotland.com. This website, which has been developed by VisitScotland, will encourage users from around the world to both research their ancestry and to visit those parts of Scotland where their ancestors lived.
