The Social Inclusion Partnership Programme was established in April 1999. The 26 new Partnerships were selected on the recommendation of an Advisory Group, drawn from membership of the Scottish Social Inclusion Network.

To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-908 by Angus Mackay on 26 August 1999, whether it will give an update of the review of the structure of the Scottish Fire Service.
The amendment refers to a "lasting legacy", but the Executive has created a legacy of bureaucracy and barriers to trade, which 46 per cent of the business community want to do away with and about which 26 per cent are neutral. I hope that this debate moves that 26 per cent forward into the camp that wants more change...
