Once this legislation is introduced, staff of the Crofters Commission will be given the choice to transfer to the new non-departmental public body, or to retain their status as civil servants.
We will deliver the Executive’s target that, by the end of 2007, no-one will wait more than four hours between arriving at a unit and admission, discharge or transfer, unless there are stated clinical reasons for keeping a patient in a unit.
