In responding, the Cabinet Secretary stated that “money raised from the local visitor levy will be required to be spent on the visitor economy, such as visitor related infrastructure, or promoting and improving the visitor offer in a local authority’s area”, noting that “before it could introduce a local visitor levy a local authority would be required to consult and publish its plan on how it planned to use any funds raised through the levy.”2Scottish Government. Report on the Property Factors (Code of Conduct) (Scotland) Order 2021
The Minister said he hoped home owners would be encouraged to use factors and that the Code would clearly set out what services a factor would provide. He said the revisions to the Code would help home owners consider the benefits of a factoring service.

Subordinate Legislation (revised 8 March 2017 to correct an administrative error) - Annex A
In connection with the abolition of contracting-out, the Occupational Pension Schemes (Schemes that were Contracted-out) (No. 2) Regulations 2015 (S.I. 2015/1677) came into force (for most purposes) on 6th April 2016. Regulation 26(2)(c) of those Regulations permits a pension scheme to provide for a widow’s, widower’s or surviving civil partner’s guaranteed minimum pension to be forfeited where the person who would otherwise receive the pension has been convicted of an offence involving the unlawful killing of the person from whose occupational service the pension is derived.
