My colleagues and I will be happy to answer your questions and to report to ministers anything that members wish to say. We have a concern about section 7, which relates to the standards commission for Scotland.
Let us get straight on with the agenda.Item 1 is consideration of whether to take items 6 and 7 in private. Members have suggested that we should take item 7 in private, but that there is no reason to take item 6 in private.
As Phil Gallie said, young people may want to prove their age to retailers to show that they are old enough to buy alcohol, to gain entry to discos or other entertainment facilities or to buy tobacco products.
We have identified no issues in section 7.It is suggested that we ask the Executive for clarification of which public bodies might be included in an order under section 8.
Do members have comments on paragraphs 7 and 8? I accept many of the respondents' points, but I wonder whether those points come under the remit of the Standards Committee.
