Although the cost will rise, it is not likely to rise as a percentage of the total care budget. In England, the latest discussion document, which came out last year, indicated that the average cost of care for those over 65 is about £30,000 a year.
To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on the work being undertaken by Transport Scotland and the regional transport partnerships in Ayrshire to identify new transport objectives for the region.
