This was one of the guiding principles of the Paris Protocol and continued in following COPs, including COP 26 in Glasgow. We look forward to appearing at an evidence session before the Committee and to expand on the points made in this submission.
Notwithstanding that, it appears that the available information that was requested was not provided to SPICe at the most recent review point on 26 October. Will the Scottish Government commit to providing the information that the committee has requested at the next review point and at all subsequent review points?
In 10 years—it will be our anniversary on 26 November—people have not been able to suggest that any of our work has been other than based on the very best science.
The Stage 1 deadline for the Bill has since been extended and the Committee continues to press for more details of the financial implications to be provided.
Proposed future business At the next meeting on 26 April, the Committee expects to consider a draft report and Standing Order rule changes in relation to the budget process.
