Information on hospital discharges relates to episodes of in-patient or day case care rather than individual patients. Transfer cases have been included. The same patient may account for several hospital admissions during the course of a year (or across years) and will be counted each time in the table.

The Committee also has concerns that timescales for further expansion of school age childcare will not be detailed until 2025-26.
The Committee recommends that the Scottish Government sets out a strategy to retain staff and address the issue of competition between sectors.
To ask the Scottish Executive what criteria it will employ in the selection of consultants for work on each of recommendations 17, 19, 20, 22, 25 and 26 contained in The Scottish Fire Service of the Future.
