I am not sure whether the cabinet secretary has approved the protect our progress campaign, but its webpage says:“Tory, Lib Dem and Labour MSPs tried to take £30 million out of Scotland’s public services by opposing our plan to increase the tax rate for just 0.1% of Scottish businesses”.The cabinet secretary has confirmed today that that is not the case because that 0.1 per cent is of all rateable properties not, as the SNP website claims, 0.1 per cent of Scottish businesses.I do not know what Government policy lies behind the levy, but I do know that it is causing damage.
