Entanglements are a severe welfare issue. Entangled animals suffer or die over many weeks or months of carrying the heavy gear, which compromises their health by affecting their feeding and diving ability and causes them severe injury from rope abrasions.

To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to the Institute for Public Policy Research Scotland's papers on taxation policy published on 1 December 2022, in particular its reported finding that adding 1p on the higher and top rates of tax could raise an extra £200 million, and that matching the UK Government’s decision to reduce the top tax rate threshold to £125,140 and freezing the remaining thresholds, could raise an extra £400 million.

However, throughout the pandemic, a UK-wide approach to the procurement of therapeutics has been taken and has proven vital to allow the UK to have the buying power to secure significant numbers of therapeutics in a competitive global market.
We have never had what I would have understood to be a decision notice—which should be published on the website, according to the guidance. I believe that there is not even a page on the website that deals with that.
In the meantime, how many more women—and I stress that we are talking predominantly about women—will have to die before there is the political will in Scotland to address the situation?
