Hundreds of people in Scotland are wrongful death victims or become ill with fatal work-related diseases every year. On average, 30 people die every year in Scotland in workplace accidents.
Often, people are left with young puppies and kittens that have been sold to them and which then become ill or die because the animals had received no veterinary care.
The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities thought that £48 million should be transferred to support local economic development, but only £25 million was transferred, and £12.5 million of that was already committed to urban regeneration companies that were already in the area.
