The Scottish Government established the Infrastructure Investment Board (IIB) in November 2010 to take an executive role in infrastructure governance within Scottish Government, working alongside individual portfolio investment boards and the Scottish Futures Trust. 7. In 2018, the Scottish Government announced a new National Infrastructure Mission to increase annual investment in infrastructure by 1% of 2017 Scottish GDP by 2025-26.
